Thursday Mental Health Awareness Week

Frontline 2020 , Giclee Print on Canvas by Johan Andersson

Thursday

Look for the beauty that surrounds us. The regular, fast-paced rhythm of our lives often prevents us from experiencing and properly appreciating our surroundings. This is an opportunity for us to take things easy, be present and notice the beauty that this beguiling  planet offers us. Take some time to observe nature, the grace, the motion, the freedom and the colours around you. What we usually take for granted can prove to be an important source of mindfulness and peace.  Look at the clouds, the patterns the shadows throw in the afternoon sunlight, how green and verdant everything looks right now. Watch how the grass moves and how the air smells fresher in your nostrils.

Be kind to nature; think of the impact aspects of our lives  have on the wellbeing of the planet – like our plastic toothbrushes, straws and bags. Think of the ways in which you can change some of your habits for the sake of the environment.  What bad habits can you throwaway today?
