“Using flowers on a woman’s face symbolises the innate beauty and connection to flora that every woman has inside her. We are so completely rooted in nature. We are affected by the moon, the tides, the seasons.
This was inspired by a photo from a Preen fashion show, in which the iconic British fashion brand placed real flowers on women’s faces instead of makeup. I love the fragility and the beauty of these, there is something temporary and sad about the idea of flowers, how they bring so much happiness and they only last a few days. But the memory is always there. The joy lingers like a ghost. Nothing really lasts forever.”
