The artists states:
“For a long time I was told to be ashamed of my body, my size, everything about me. When I started to paint, I became more curious about the way women’s bodies are painted and become sexual objects. I painted this bum as part of a fashion spread, illustrations were used instead of photographs. Painting women, as a woman is an interesting less voyeuristic experience, after all, we have seen it before.”
