The day I’ve looked ahead to for all this time has come at last. The days and months crossed off each night. Last night I couldn’t sleep, as for once my waking reality was better than my dreams. Today, the gate will shut behind me, not on me. And today I marry not a man, but my future. This is an A5 blank notecard by The View Collective, showing some of the expressions of the art teacher who conducts some of our art workshops with women in the justice system.
